Pena di morte
Durante l'anno sono state messe a morte almeno 94 persone, comprese 8 che avevano meno di 18 anni al momento del reato. Altre decine risultavano essere state condannate a morte, comprese almeno 11 che avevano meno di 18 anni al momento del reato. Le cifre reali sono probabilmente da ritenersi molto più elevate. La pena di morte continua a essere comminata per reati vagamente definiti come "corruzione sulla terra".
